Scholarships

Returning BCC Student

The Broome Community College Alumni Association is offering scholarships of up to $500 each to current BCC full-time and part-time business, liberal arts, and non-traditional students with a GPA of at least 3.0 who plan to attend BCC in 2005-06. The scholarships are for school expenses (tuition and fees, books, and required supplies), and are intended to provide additional financial assistance - not to supplant other financial aid grants.

The mission of the BCC Alumni Association is to promote interest, pride, and awareness in BCC and to support the efforts of the college, students and its Foundation, while maintaining a life-long bond between the college, its students, staff, and graduates. One of the ways that the Alumni Association achieves its mission is by offering scholarships to deserving BCC students.

The scholarships can be used for school expenses, with the objective of helping to maximize each student's ability to obtain a degree. These scholarships will provide additional financial assistance - they will not replace other financial aid grants.

Criteria for the 4 scholarships are outlined below. If you meet the criteria and would like to apply for these awards, please fill out the following forms:

The deadline for submission for the 2005-06 BCC Alumni Association scholarships is March 9, 2005. Only those applications that are complete and submitted by this date will be considered. An application for financial aid must also be on file with BCC's Financial Aid office by the same date to be considered for these scholarships. Students receiving the scholarships will be notified in April 2005.

The BCC Alumni Association wishes you good luck with your scholarship submission, and also with your continuing studies at BCC. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity.
