I have three primary expectations of my players for the 1999 season. First, I expect our student-athletes to fufill their obligations in the classroom. We are striving to increase the overall Grade Point Average of each athlete. Second, I expect my players to exhibit a high degree of responsibility not only for themselves, but for the team as well. Being a member of team implies a responsibility on and off the field to represent yourself and your school to the upmost standard. Finally, I hope each player will understand what it means to become part of a special group. The chance to participate in intercollegiate athletics is a privilage, not a right.
