Notes:
1.  Know that the magnitude of earthquakes, measurement of sound and the ph scale for acidity  are all logarithmic scales.
2. Acids have ph's lower than 7
3. Bases have ph's lower than 7

Skills you need to master in this section:
1. To have an idea of the loudness of a sound compared to its decibels.
2.  To have an idea of the intensity of an earthquake based on its Richter scale reading.
