BCC Student Art Exhibition To Take
Place This Weekend In Downtown Binghamton

-More Than 150 BCC Students Will Showcase Artwork-

(TOWN OF DICKINSON, NY) The 27th annual Broome Community College Student Art Exhibition will take place Friday, May 4th, Saturday, May 5th and Sunday May 6th, 2007 at the art gallery of Anthony Brunelli, which is located at 186 State Street.

The awards ceremony will go from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., on Friday, May 4, on opening night and in conjunction with May’s First Friday Art Walk. The exhibit will also be open from noon – 6:00 p.m., Saturday, May 5, and Sunday, May 6, 2007

Today when you walk around the BCC campus you will see original artwork by students. Every year the College makes several purchases of student work for the permanent collection housed on campus. These purchase awards are sponsored by the Student Activities Department at BCC.

The exhibition will include student work in fine & applied art including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics and interior design. Artwork by more than 150 students will be showcased.

“The annual student art exhibition is an excellent opportunity to showcase the talent and creativity of art students at Broome Community College,” said President Dr. Laurence Spraggs. “Each year the exhibition highlights a diverse variety of art, which brings thousands of art enthusiasts and visitors to multiple galleries. This year year’s selection of art is already generating a great deal of excitement.”

The exhibition is funded by BCC Student Activities, BCC Foundation, Division of Liberal and General Studies and the BCC Art & Design Program.
