Broome Community College President Dr. Laurence Spraggs
 To Host spring Faculty/Staff Assembly Thursday Morning

-Dr. Spraggs Will Present New Initiatives, Deliver Overview Of College & Present Plans For The Future-

(TOWN OF DICKINSON, NY) Broome Community College President Dr. Laurence Spraggs will host the spring faculty/staff convocation at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, January 17, 2008 in the dining hall, which is located in the Student Center. (Media note: The event is scheduled to last approximately one-hour, and interviews are available before and after the Convocation)

The faculty/staff assembly is an opportunity to welcome new faculty and staff as well as highlight plans and initiatives for the upcoming semester. Dr. Spraggs will discuss updates to the Master Plan, a comprehensive security overhaul and update the iTunes and sustainability initiatives. In addition he will discuss potential personnel expansions as well as a recent CC Benefits report highlighting BCC’s economic impact in Broome County.

Approximately 300 faculty and staff attend the convocation, which signifies the unofficial start to each semester. President Spraggs will welcome and introduce 12 new employees, acknowledge retirees and will also discuss a range of academic programs, student activities and provide an update of various infrastructure projects.
