| AVAILABLE NEWS OUTLETS |
- The BCC Public Affairs Office web site, which is updated with news of interest to the general public and news media as well as the BCC community. -- Don't forget, if you wish to publicize an BCC event, post it on the BCC events calendar. (Contact David Maslar to add items to the calendar)
- News releases to media outlets (wire services, newspapers, TV stations, radio, web sites, etc.) that we think would be interested in the story. When editors decide to run BCC stories based on news releases, they almost always do more research and interviews; releases are almost never published verbatim by the media.

- BCC FOCUS, the official e-newsletter for BCC faculty and staff, distributed via email to faculty and staff on campus each week. Click here for more information.
- BCC TODAY - If you're primarily interested in reaching students, you should submit your news for posting on BCC TODAY, Our student web portal.

| Where will my news appear, and who will see it? |
The Public Affairs Office has several outlets for publicizing all types of stories and announcements. We can help you decide which outlets are right for your news. |
| How does the Public Affairs Office decide which stories will get published? |
| We exercise editorial judgment about what is most newsworthy, and we reserve the right to edit all copy and to decide when and where each submission will be published. We'll also recommend other publications in the event we cannot accept your story. |
