The primary focus of the TRC is to provide training, materials, and space in support of faculty and staff professional development.
To foster professional development, the TRC provides access to current pedagogical theory and application, as well as a situated learning environment for instructors to practice, experiment, and try out new and existing technological tools.
Opportunities for learning include workshops and seminars held in the TRC computer lab presented by TRC staff, as well as by faculty peers, program coordinators, and staff who share their expertise and experience.
Hands-on practical experience is possible for any technology-based workshop through use of the TRC computer lab. The lab has space for 10 participants, and each station has a compliment of software commonly used by faculty and staff.
Pedagogical ideas and issues can be shared in a less formal environment in the TRC conference room, which can support a small group discussion or roundtable event.
The following is a sampling of programs which have run previously in the TRC. Many workshop handouts are available. Please visit the TRC Publications and Handouts page to review available documents.
