The Community College Business Officers has recognized Broome Community College Controller Alan Katz as the 2000 Outstanding Business Officer for Region 13. The Region includes the states of Delaware, New Jersey and New York.

Business officers from sixteen regions throughout the United States were selected for this honor. Selection is based on the officer's effectiveness in carrying out responsibilities, participation in institutional strategic planning, professional involvement in state and national associations and contributions to the community.

Alan Katz will be recognized as Region 13's Outstanding Business Officer at the CCBO International Conference, November 11-14, 2000 at Nashville, Tennessee.

"We are extremely proud of Alan and pleased that the talents always appreciated here at BCC are now being recognized by his peers nationally," said BCC President Donald A. Dellow.
