STUDENT LIFE
band performingThe BCC Student Activities Department plans the events, assists the clubs, and organizes the festivals, that make your college experience more interesting.

Campus activities, such as the Student Activities Day, Halloween Costume Contest, Spring Arts Festival, Common Hour events, sporting events, free concerts and live stand-up comedy acts are scheduled every year.

What's going on?

Visit BCC TODAY for current information regarding campus life and specific Common Hour events. Information regarding student activities can also be found on the campus marquee, on signs posted on bulletin boards around campus, and in issues of a by-weekly Student Handbook supplement called The BUZZ. A Calendar of Events is also available on this web site.

Why should I get involved?

Student Activities at BCC are based on the principle that time you spend outside the classroom is a vital part of your college experience.

As a result, Student Activities offers many opportunities for learning and applying new skills, developing new interests, and just having a great time at college. The college schedule provides open hours each week for social activities, club meetings, informal study groups, lectures by BCC faculty and guests, and other events. There is always something going on, and we guarantee you the opportunity to get involved.

Where is all this stuff happening?

Many of the college's activities are held in the BCC Student Center, which boasts a full-service Food Court, the Little Theatre, the Campus Store, two full-size gymnasiums, the Ice Center, a state-of-the-art Fitness Center, and a fully equipped weight room. Surrounded by baseball, softball, soccer and lacrosse fields, the Student Center is also the heart of the Athletics program, including Intramurals.
