Counseling staff offers individual, group, and credit-bearing programs designed to help you explore and establish specific career and life goals. The counseling staff provides a comprehensive approach to career and life planning. This approach includes individual counseling, interest inventories (tools to assess personal and career interests and compatibility), and a computer based career exploration program, SIGI Plus. Also offered is a 3 credit Career Exploration course offered in the days, evenings and on-line. Extensive career resource materials are available for your use in the Counseling and Career Services Student Resource Room in SS-210.

You may want to meet with a career counselor to:

· Identify career options
· Research career information such as education required and earning potential
· Learn about career opportunities for various academic programs
· Take and interpret career assessments
· Select an academic program that fits your interests and skills
· Research and apply to transfer college
· Review transfer college applications
