materials management fundamentals. Greater focus
on the operational aspects of the procurement function.
Topics include buying decisions and plans, cost
analysis, purchase agreements, purchasing analysis
of capital equipment, services, institutional and government
purchases, purchasing's growing role in new
product development and ethical standards. Case
studies will be reviewed to emphasize the procurement
concepts.
