The Entrepreneurial Assistance Program (EAP) provides resources and assistance to entrepreneurial ventures through various types of services. We support these entrepreneurial ventures in all stages, from start-ups to existing community businesses wishing to expand.

  • Score - For the Life of Your BusinessConsultation service for small businesses -
    FREE confidential consultation service is offered for one-on-one business planning and analysis for all phases of small business. EAP has partnered with Greater Binghamton SCORE, Chapter 217, which is part of a nationwide network of experienced business mentors. SCORE, Chapter 217 provides a team of more than 35 local certified mentors and in addition to the EAP staff, instructor and guest speakers provide all needed mentoring for successful small business ventures.   • Client Advisory Group – the Entrepreneurial Assistance Program has a group of local business representatives that meet once a month to offer EAP clients with brainstorming the particular questions and concerns of their small business development.  
  • Mastermind Groups – Groups of six to eight individuals who meet regularly with an experienced facilitator to provide problem-solving and creativity among members in a safe, constructive environment where they can examine their business and activities, decisions, goals and problems.  Group members act in a collaborative, rather than competitive spirit.
  • Holiday Office Party for Entrepreneurs - Join other entrepreneurs for a fun-filled evening of food, music, and a gift exchange. Network! Network! Network!

EAP Announcements

  1. December 16th - Business plans are due to Jan in the Wales Building, Room 115 by 3 p.m.
  2. The Holiday Party is this week December 18, 2014 in the Decker Building, Rm 201 from 6 - 9 p.m. There will be food, fun and a festive feeling for all who have just completed the 12 week, 60 hour Entrepreneurial Assistance program on their way to starting or expanding their small business ventures! Family members are welcome. If you have signed up yet - please contact Darlene as soon as possible!
  3. January 6th and January 7th, oral presentations will be held in Decker Building, Rm 117 for those in the program that wanted to compete for prize money in the Business Plan Competition. If you haven't received your scheduled date/time, please contact Darlene.
  4. January 15th - we will be celebrating the eleventh graduation of student in the Entrepreneurial Assistance Program in the Decker Building, Room 201 and the Klee Conference Room to congratulate all those interested in becoming small business entrepreneurs!

On April 22, 2014, SUNY Broome's Entrepreneurial Assistance Program (EAP) hosted the 9th Annual Website Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

Six small businesses and organizations were honored for developing or enhancing a website within the past year.
