Information for Employers
The Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) Department at Broome Community College is very interested in working with local industry to assure that our graduates are entering the job market with the knowledge and skills to succeed.
The EET Department encourages local employers to share their training needs with us. Revisions to our AAS degree program, as well as new Certificate and Certificate of Completion programs are possible.
To share your training needs, or to simply become involved with your community college's EET program, you may want to join our Industrial Advisory Council. This Council, made up of representatives from local industry, meets once each year to aid the EET department in:
- Maintaining an awareness of the changing skill and training needs of a highly literate, and technological and industrialized society.
- Establishing communication among the College, the community, employers, and educational representatives as a means of furthering common education and career goals.
- Advising and updating the college regarding career curricula.
The current council is made up of representatives from Cadick Corp., NYSEG, Binghamton Simulator, and Doron Corp. We welcome new members and encourage your participation.
