Supporting Small Business in the Southern Tier

I'm very pleased to have helped start the ExCEL program at Broome Community College. By encouraging the development of small business in our communities, ExCEL has played an important part in the economic growth of the Southern Tier. I'm confident that it will continue to serve as a valuable resource for businesses for many years to come.

The Excellence Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership performs as a resource center for the entrepreneurial and established business communities in and around Broome County. ExCEL draws upon the talents and resources of Broome Community College, located in Binghamton, NY (Map 18K), to provide leadership and direction to the Southern Tiers entrepreneurs. ExCEL has been established with New York State public funds through a grant supported by Senator Thomas Libous.

ExCEL's mission is to provide resources and assisstance to entrepreneurial ventures through various types of services. ExCEL supports these entrepreneurial ventures in all stages, from start-up's to existing community businesses wishing to expand. ExCEL is a program providing services to help the Southern Tier face it's current challenges. ExCEL is also a community program and welcomes your suggestions and questions.
