BCC's Health
Information Technology program prepares students to be professional
technicians in a multitude of settings. Our students are placed
throughout the healthcare industry, from hospitals to insurance
companies. Their duties are to ensure the quality of medical records,
checking them for completeness, accuracy, and appropriate entry
into computer systems. Areas of specialization include coding
diagnoses and procedures in patient records for reimbursement
or research purposes. BCC program includes clinical experience
at a professional health care facility. |
