May 15, 2001 - BCC Awards Frank G. Paul Medal of Excellence in Math and Science
In response to the excellence of Broome County regional high school math and science programs, the Broome Community College Foundation has created the Frank G. Paul Medal of Excellence in Math and Science to honor outstanding female and male senior students. Select area high schools have been chosen to participate on the basis of their outstanding past graduates. This award was established by an endowment to help student leaders complete their college education in engineering.

An evening of reminiscing, music and good food is waiting for Broome Community College alumni who attend a special alumni reception at the 2001 Graduation.

Mar. 13, 2001 - BCC Inducts Students for National Honor Society
These are the Broome Community College students have earned a minimum 3.5 Grade Point Average and have received the recommendations of faculty members to be inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, the national honor society for two-year colleges: (Induction ceremonies were held on Sunday, March 18th, on the BCC Campus.)

BCC's Annual MASSAGE-A-THON. Physical Therapy Assistant Student Club sponsors "Massage-a-thon" for anyone interested in helping budding PTAs learn their skill. $3.00 - 7 minute massage, $5.00 - 15 minute massage also, CHOW contributions collected.

BCC's Controller Receives National Recognition. The Community College Business Officers has recognized Broome Community College Controller Alan Katz as the 2000 Outstanding Business Officer for Region 13. The Region includes the states of Delaware, New Jersey and New York.

BCC Obtains Grant to Assist L3 Communications. Broome Community College has been awarded $31,000 to assist L3 Communications, formerly known as Link Aviation Devices, Inc., with training designed to help the company develop leaders and supervisors and provide skills to enhance their employees current job performance.
