Business Information Management (Desktop Publishing Emphasis)

The Desktop Publishing program is designed for individuals who are interested in preparing for careers in this exciting field or assuming additional responsibilities at their current place of employment. Students will be introduced to a variety of concepts including design, illustration, computer graphics, photography, and marketing.

SEQUENCE OF COURSES: This model is a two-year course schedule for students meeting all program requirements and deciding to pursue full-time study. Schedules will be designed for those requiring preparatory courses or those deciding to pursue part-time study.

Depending on Mathematics entrance testing scores, the student will take MAT 090 and/or BUS 112.

Students should check with their advisor during the scheduling process to make sure courses are taken in proper sequence and any prerequisites have been met. Some flexibility is available as to when courses must be taken, but not all courses are offered every semester.

1Certificates are available in Desktop Publishing, Office Technologies, and Website Development and   Management, for students who complete a redetermined selection of courses. Please contact the   chairperson for more information.
