| The Website Development and Management program prepares students for employment in settings where individuals or teams create and maintain websites. Coursework includes basic design, computer skills, web authoring tools, and advanced techniques of web design. Students will enter this rapidly growing career field by learning the basics of website development and management including effective web design, marketing on the web, and creating interactive websites. They will also master Adobe software tools including Acrobat, PhotoShop, Illustrator, and PageMill. These skills will allow students to add interactivity to websites with JavaScript, CGI, and Java Programs. Interested students should contact the Business Information Technology Chairperson for more information about these popular options. SEQUENCE OF COURSES: This model is a two-year course schedule for students meeting all program requirements and deciding to pursue full-time study. Schedules will be designed for those requiring preparatory courses or those deciding to pursue part-time study.

W - Writing Emphasis Course Depending on Mathematics entrance testing scores, the student will take MAT 090 and/or BUS 112. Students should check with their advisor during the scheduling process to make sure courses are taken in proper sequence and any prerequisites have been met. Some flexibility is available as to when courses must be taken, but not all courses are offered every semester. Certificates are available in Desktop Publishing, Office Technologies, and Website Development and Management, for students who complete a redetermined selection of courses.
