| Students earning a certificate in Dietary Management may transfer all credit toward a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, and will earn the degree after completing 43-45 additional credits. There is a requirement for supervised work experience by a registered dietitian who acts as a preceptor to the student. All students entering the program are responsible for finding a preceptor, although every aid possible will be offered by the Department of Business. |

| After BCC then what? | |||
| This career-oriented program is designed for students who wish to enter into positions as dietary managers or nutrition assistants in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and settings such as schools and correctional facilities. Graduates of the Hotel/Restaurant Management program are employed within food and hotel facilities, both in the local area and around the country. Graduates have found opportunities in hotel front office management, food and beverage supervision, and sales and marketing. Graduates of the BCC program are prepared for immediate employment as supervisors based on their degrees and other related experience. They work for companies like Holiday Inns, Inc., Sheraton Hotels, Best Western, Walt Disney World, Ground Round, Friendlys, and others. Or you may decide to pursue further education. The Hotel/Restaurant Management graduate may transfer into a four-year Bachelors of Science program in Hospitality Management, or Recreational Management. |
