Hayes To Host Fall Faculty/Staff Assembly Thursday Morning
-Dr. Hayes Will Present New Initiatives, Deliver Overview Of College & Present Plans For The Future-

(TOWN OF DICKINSON, NY) Broome Community College Interim President Dr. Daniel T. Hayes will host the fall faculty/staff convocation at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, August 21, 2008 in the dining hall, which is located in the Student Center. (Media note: The event is scheduled to last approximately one-hour, and interviews are available before and after the Convocation)

The faculty/staff assembly is an opportunity to welcome new faculty and staff as well as highlight plans and initiatives for the upcoming semester. Dr. Hayes will discuss his goal and objectives for BCC as well as updates to the Master Plan, the status of dormitories on campus, current status of the Alms House and college wide sustainability efforts.

Approximately 300 faculty and staff attend the convocation, which signifies the unofficial start to each semester. President Hayes will welcome and introduce 31 new employees, acknowledge retirees and will also discuss a range of academic programs, student activities and provide an update of various infrastructure projects.
