| Common Hour |
| Each week the college
provides an open Common Hour during which we schedule everything from lectures
by nationally known figures to our annual Student Arts Festival. Past programs
have included music — from rock to folk to blues to world music, novelty
acts — from game shows (yes, you can win money!) to making your own
video, lectures, seminars, dance performances, poetry readings, and movies.
The hardest part is choosing what to do!
Most of the events, along with a calendar of other scheduled events, the college calendar, and other information you need to know, is found in the Student Handbook which is distributed free to all BCC students — during Orientation for new students, or during the first week of classes for returning students. BCC students also use the Common Hour to form study groups, visit with friends, or participate in one of the many club activities on campus. Check out the Events
