Information for Applicants:
The BCC Presidential Honors Scholarship provides tuition for up to two full years at BCC to eligible students. Up to 25 awards will be made each year.

You are eligible for the BCC Presidential Honors Scholarship, if:

• You are a Broome County high school senior graduating in the top 10% of your class.
• You are graduating in June 2008 and will be attending BCC full-time in fall 2008.
• You commit to active participation on the BCC campus, such as community service, peer tutoring, student activities, sports, or other approved activities.
• You maintain a cumulative 3.3 GPA by the end of the second semester at BCC.
• All necessary materials are received by March 17, 2008.
• The scholarships provide tuition not covered by NYS and/or federal financial aid grants. If all tuition is covered by grants, $250/semester will be awarded. Scholarships do not cover fees and are not available during the summer semesters.

Applicant Instructions:

• Deadline for all materials is March 17, 2008
• Complete a Broome Community College Application for Admission.*
• Arrange with your high school guidance office to send your transcript to BCC, confirming your class rank as of December 31, 2007.
• Submit a complete FAFSA (www.fafsa.ed.gov), federal financial aid form (even if you do not have a financial need).
• Complete the brief Presidential Honors Scholarship Application. The applications are available in your high school guidance office or in the BCC admissions office. The application must be signed by you and your high school guidance counselor.
• Submit a letter of recommendation from a high school official attesting to your ability to succeed in college.
