Testing Center (Library Room 214)

The Spring 2010 Testing Center hours begins Monday, February 8 and ends Friday, May 14. 

Testing Center Hours - Spring 2010

Monday            9:00 am - 1:00 pm  

Tuesday           2:00 pm - 5:00 pm*

Wednesday      9:00 am - 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Thursday          2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Friday              9:00 am – 12:00 pm

*The Testing Center is also available from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm by appointment only in L-7.

The Testing Center is available for:

  • Student having a need for extended time for tests
  • Situations where instructors and students are unable to arrange a mutually convenient time for make-up tests

Procedures

The College approved policy, cover sheet, and waiver form for tests is available in public folders under "LAC Testing Center.” Testing Center procedures are as follows:

1) Instructors will deliver tests to the Learning Assistance Center Office, L-6, along with a cover sheet for each test.  Please include any special instructions such as: open book, use of calculator, use of notes, time limit, etc. 

2) Tests should be dropped off directly at the testing center on the second floor of the library if the test is scheduled for that day and the testing center has already opened.                

3) The student will make an appointment at the Learning Center, L-6, to take the test. The student ID will be required at the time of testing. (Students may also call 778-5038 for appointments.) 

4) It is the instructor's responsibility to pick up completed tests from Learning Center Office, L-6. For security reasons, tests will NOT be sent through the mail.  Tests will only be returned via campus mail if the waiver form is signed and returned to the Learning Assistance Department.

Tests may be dropped off and/or picked up between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. The office (L-6) will not be open after 5:00 pm, and a drop slot is located on the wall near L-7 for instructors dropping off tests when the office is closed.
