Operating System & Browser Requirements

Only operating systems currently supported by Microsoft (Windows) or Apple (OS X) are considered valid as client platforms for ANGEL.

Firefox is the recommended browser for use with SLN/ANGEL

Please Note: Currently, the use of mobile devices such as smartphones (iPhone, Droid), e-readers (Nook, Kindle) and tablets (iPad, Galaxy Xoom) is NOT recommended or supported.

Additional Technical Requirements and Recommendations

The following list includes recommendations for internet access, word processing software, plus specific browser plug-ins or settings which must be enabled or disabled to take advantage of all the features of the ANGEL LMS:

• High Speed Internet Access (Cable, DSL, Wireless, LAN, Etc) - Recommended
• A Word Processing Program - Recommended
  • Microsoft Word from the Microsoft Office Suite - Students/Faculty can purchase at a significant discount through UBMicro - http://www.ubmicrosuny.com/
  • Open Office - http://www.openoffice.org/
  • Etc
• Required Browser Plug-Ins and Settings Include:
  
  • Sun Java Runtime Environment 1.4 or greater must be installed and enabled.

  • Pop-Up blocking software must be disabled or configured to allow pop-up windows from your ANGEL URL

  • JavaScript must be enabled.

  • AJAX (XMLHttpRequest) must be supported and enabled.
