Student Orientation for Online Courses

The SLN Student Orientation is a practice course intended to show students how to interact in an online course.

To access the SLN Student Orientation, you must first log in to ANGEL using your BCC ANGEL username and password.  If you do not know your BCC ANGEL username and password, click on the link to ‘retrieve your ANGEL username and password‘ under the log in field at http://broome.sln.suny.edu (see screen shot below).

Once you are logged into ANGEL, you will be able to access the SLN Student Orientation course from the Student Resources Nugget at the top left of your home page.

The SLN HelpDesk staff is the professor of the SLN Student Orientation and will interact with you as you complete the learning activities.  The SLN HelpDesk staff are available to answer any questions you have about the what you will encounter in this practice course.

You will learn some new terms and features such as how to participate in discussions, ask questions, and submit assignments. You can complete the SLN Student Orientation during one session or you can return for multiple sessions.  It is recommend that students complete all of the learning modules prior to beginning their course work.
