Building Analyst Training

This low-cost training program can bring you new business for years to come. While you’re using building science technology to help customers solve heating, cooling and air leakage problems that are driving high energy costs, you’ll also provide them with a more comfortable, safe and durable home. You’ll be part of an exclusive group of contractors with access to benefits to help your business grow.

Fundamentals of building science:

  • Identify and understand building performance problems including ice dams, mold and mildew, and indoor air quality issues

  • Analyze buildings using “Blower Door” technology and other diagnostic equipment

  • Assess building tightness, mechanical and distribution systems and combustion safety for a “whole house” performance-based approach

  • Practical application of “blower door,” combustion safety and other diagnostics for assessing air leakage and efficiency in buildings

Registration Information:
The cost of this training is $1,045.

BPI Certification:
To become BPI certified you must successfully complete BPI’s written exam and field practical test. BPI Certification is optional. Registration fees for BPI testing are not included in the cost of the training. Please contact BPI for testing costs.

Envelope Professional Training

This training, which includes both classroom sessions and field experience, will help you prepare for the Building Performance Institute’s Envelope Professional written and field exams. Training will include review of some Building Analyst  topics, but is not a BA preparatory course. BA certification or BA training is a prerequisite for  Envelope Professional training. Qualifying candidates may make special arrangements with BPI to take both tests simultaneously.
