A dynamic presence in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, SUNY Broome Community College’s history, degree opportunities, exceptional faculty and staff, rich campus life and dedication to learning, excellence, equity, diversity, and innovation, has established the College as a preeminent school that is recognized nationally and globally.

At its inception in 1946, SUNY Broome was firmly rooted in technical and applied sciences, yet the College has grown and adapted to fit the community’s needs. Today, SUNY Broome has become one of New York’s most comprehensive community colleges, offering its students ever expanding degree opportunities in a variety of fields such as Health Sciences, Science, Technologies, Engineering and Math (STEM) , Liberal Arts and Business and Public Services. With a solid foundation at SUNY Broome, students will be prepared for their pursuit of additional education, or to find job placement in their chosen field.

During a student’s time at SUNY Broome, they are supported by excellent staff and taught by talented, accomplished faculty who offer students plenty of beneficial educational opportunities–such as internships, unique field-trips and other off-campus learning experiences— as well as innovative, flexible online and blended courses.

Located in the historic Susquehanna River Valley, SUNY Broome’s welcoming campus is a place where students can enjoy a full and interesting campus life with a mix of activity that includes 15 varsity sports, intramural programs, Student Assembly, academic and recreational clubs, Fitness Center, Ice Center, playing fields, tennis courts, Cafes and Food Courts.  Additionally, since the College is situated only three miles north of Binghamton, students can enjoy the area’s fine and performing arts venues, ethnic cuisine, shopping and sports complexes, as well as find housing in urban, suburban, and rural settings.
