You can afford to attend Broome!
Considerable financial aid is available at Broome Community College, and the Financial Aid Office helps students through the financial aid process. Information and applications for financial aid are sent to students who are seeking financial aid when they apply for admission. Any student accepted into a degree or certificate program and taking one or more classes may apply for financial aid.

Financial aid at BCC falls into three broad categories:
- grants that do not have to be repaid
- loans on which interest rates are usually low and that must be repaid after graduation or leaving college
- part-time employment called “Work-Study.”
Assistance usually comes from a combination of these resources, commonly referred to as a “financial aid package.”
If you are interested in receiving financial aid, including student loans, scholarships, and grants, you must complete the federal FAFSA application at www.fafsa.ed.gov and the New York State TAP or APTS applications.
NOTE: You must be a matriculated student taking at least one credit bearing course and meet federal and state guidelines. (A “matriculated student” is someone enrolled in a degree-granting or certificate program of study.)
