At least once in a lifetime, we should all experience the majesty and splendor unique to Italy. It is a country overflowing with natural beauty and artistic masterpieces which await exploration. A semester or summer in Italy allows you to acquire a whole new perspective on the global world, on your education, and most importantly, on yourself. We invite you to join us for a memorable experience at Lorenzo de’Medici (LDM) in Florence, Tuscania, or the Three Cities program, the American University of Rome (AUR), or the Istituto Venezia in Venice, where you will discover the rich culture and magnificent treasures of Italy.

Admission Criteria the Italy Study Abroad Program is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors in college. Students must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA on a scale of 4.0. Students must also submit an application, complete with a statement of purpose, three letters of recommendation, and an official transcript. Since almost all non-language courses are taught in English, prior Italian language study is not required.
If you are currently enrolled at a college or university, you must apply for financial aid at your home campus and transfer your aid to SUNY Broome Community College. This is done by going to your financial aid office and requesting a financial aid consortium agreement. They will assist you in preparing the form and tell you where to send it. Our office will assist you in providing cost and other information on the program you have selected. SUNY Broome Community College’s financial aid office will work with your campus directly in processing your application for aid. Please contact them directly at 607-778-5028, and be sure to identify yourself as an overseas study applicant from another school.
