Prospective Students

To study theater at SUNY Broome is to be a part of our area’s active and productive performing arts community. SUNY Broome's dynamic Liberal Arts transfer program will enable you to develop concentrations (30-34 credits) in professional fields that are aligned with academic majors at four-year colleges.

SUNY Broome offers you the opportunity to develop skills that will enhance your natural talent and prepare you for the professional world of theater, film or TV. The rigorous training with faculty highly trained in their area of expertise helps you build a strong foundation for transfer or to work directly in the business. SUNY Broome's Theater program offers productions of classic and new plays in a range of theatrical styles. The Beginning Acting class is designed for students across the disciplines and some non-theater students can also take part in productions.
