SUNY Broome's Office of Public Safety is responsible for emergency response, hazard control, crime prevention and parking and traffic management. In addition our office offers lockout assistance, lost and found service, and is available to address any other safety and security concerns of the students, faculty or staff.
Public Safety provides 24-hour coverage. The Public Safety staff consists of a Chief, Assistant Chief, Peace Officers, Safety Officers, and clerical support. All Peace Officers are authorized to enforce the laws of the State of New York.

Parking Appeals are held in the Science Building, Room 105. Please contact Public Safety for the days and times of Appeal Board Meetings during the semester.
To ensure that SUNY Broome students and employees receive critical communications in the most timely manner possible, the college is now using an emergency alert system called Rave Alert. Rave Alert has a proven track record of quickly and reliably delivering emergency communications, which has led to its adoption by more than 1,000 colleges and universities.
