All tournaments (T) require approximately 3 hours.  A simultaneous exhibition (S - simul) will require about an hour. Does your club want to host a tournament or simultaneous exhibition?  Call Joe Biegen at 607-729-4809.  Prizes and food are provided free.  Where links are provided, you may access directions to the tournament or simul and some additional information.   Adults are not guaranteed an opportunity to play.  We may play one adult but not another in order to ensure that all youth may enter.   Contestants may be required to record their moves for the first of the four rounds.  To keep tournaments inside 3 hours, games may be adjudicated and time controls may be used.  Tournaments at some clubs may be restricted ("R" code in the table above), if the members are very young and perhaps have just learned how to play.  Even if an adult plays, prizes are for youth alone. We always need some idea of how many will attend; please sign up with your advisor who should then call Joe Biegen.  Costs for those unable to pay are covered by donations.

Talk to Joe Biegen about joining the League or playing in a tournament, or for additional directions.
Important!  Please provide several days' notice if you plan to participate so we can plan to have adequate amounts of food.
