Free and open to the public

The Lambda Society is a Student Organization established to promote dialogue between lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) and straight members of the BCC community and to help provide for the education of the campus community on LGBT issues. We provide opportunities for speakers, social activities, and discussions of relevant LGBT topics in an environment free from ridicule, judgment or condemnation.

Lambda holds weekly meetings during Common Hour, Thursdays, 11:00 - 11:50 am in T-107. Our meetings are open to the entire campus community, but we expect that all in attendance will honor our code of confidentiality, acceptance and respect for one another. We will not "out" anyone who attends our meetings. The semester is quickly slipping by, and we've already begun plans for a possible Halloween party, as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas "Open House" for anyone who will be alone on those holidays.

Join us on Thursdays and help make Lambda an active, exciting group at BCC. COME CELEBRATE WHO YOU ARE...A BEAUTIFUL, GIFTED INDIVIDUAL! For more information, you may visit Terrie Schlitsey in SS-210, call her at 778-5421, or e-mail her at Schlitsey_t@sunybroome.edu.
