The purpose of the Grants Planning Team is to nurture innovative projects on campus and assist in finding funding for these projects. The team is made up of key players on campus who help faculty and staff in efficiently implementing projects by assisting in the planning of projects. Through careful planning and collaborative effort the Grants Planning Team provides support to new innovative projects to support the mission of Broome Community College.

The Grantsmanship Center was founded in 1972 by Norton J. Kiritz to offer grantsmanship training to nonprofit and government agencies. Today The Grantsmanship Centersm conducts some 150 workshops annually in grantsmanship training, as well as earned income strategies for nonprofits.
