Clinical Laboratory Technician, A.A.S.
Clinical Laboratory Technology at SUNY Broome Community College is a fully-accredited, clinically-based curriculum leading to the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree. Graduates of the program are automatically eligible to sit for New York State Licensure and national certification examinations.
There are three pathways to earn an A.A.S in Clinical Laboratory Technician; the Traditional Program, the Fast-Track Program, and the Fully-Online Program. Choose the one that best fits your experiences and availability.
The Traditional Program is a two-year, fully-accredited, clinically-based curriculum leading to the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S) degree. Clinical training in hospital laboratories affiliated with the program provides hands-on experience as well as excellent training for immediate employment. The program may require more than two years to complete, depending on a student's academic background. The department will tailor a program assuring each student the opportunity to earn the A.A.S. degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology. The program traditionally accepts in the fall semester and is a four-semester, full-time program of study with a 400-hour required clinical rotation. You may be required to take some courses online; however the majority of coursework is not available online to traditional students.
Below are the current clinical affiliates for traditional students. Not all facilities are available for all rotations and student placement at a facility is not guaranteed.
