Club Information

The CLT Club is open to any member of the SUNY Broome Community College student body who is interested in the Clinical Laboratory Sciences, including Phlebotomy.

The CLT Club at SUNY Broome Community College was formed to fulfill the following objectives:

  • To promote Clinical Laboratory Technology on the campus and in the community
  • To introduce freshmen to the CLT program
  • To provide social events for CLT students
  • To raise funds for these purposes

Transfer Credits

Any course taken at another institution that is equivalent to a co-requisite course here can be transferred with a C or better; all CLT designated courses must be taken through our program.  The student may be required to provide a course description, learning outcomes, and a course syllabus.  Transfer credit will only be evaluated and accepted after the student has been successfully admitted to the program.  

Transfer from another Clinical of Medical Laboratory Technician Program

Students transferring from another Clinical or Medical Laboratory Technician or Histological Technician program and wish to transfer core classes must supply a letter of recommendation showing good standing from the previous chair of the program and must complete five of the core courses at SUNY Broome, including Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Pathogenic & Diagnostic Microbiology, and Immunohematology.
